beNOW.tv is a web television network curating live music and spoken word content. Headquartered in Half Moon Bay, California, beNOW.tv has streamed over 100 live programs since its founding in 2010. We stream live from our network of fixed IP-controlled cameras in bookstores, music venues, editorial offices and public forums. And we stream conferences, from the Global Philanthropy Forum and the World Affairs Conference to GigaOm’s Structure and SOCAP2011. As innovators in the live webcast industry, beNOW.tv also provides corporate services to businesses and organizations. Please contact us for more information.
After participating in the eG8 Forum in Paris, beNOW.tv assembled a team of media and technology veterans with a collective two hundred years of experience to develop a next generation live media experience. We will announce our new service from the MIDEM Conference in Cannes, France in late January 2012.
beNOW.tv is led and founded by Brian Gruber. Founder of FORA.tv, which he ran as CEO for three years, Brian was the first head of marketing for C-SPAN and Australia’s leading cable TV company FOXTEL. He directed marketing for the largest urban divisions of four major cable television companies, winning Cablevision Magazine’s Marketer of the Year award in 1994 for his creation of the industry’s first BBS social network for customers, predating web-based services. As founder of consulting network Principals.com, Brian acquired movies and cable content for Myrio and China Broadband, and was Tech TV’s first marketing director. From building small start-up teams to managing billion dollar a year revenue streams, Brian has spent three decades innovating and marketing new forms of media.
Will Kirkpatrick is beNOW.tv’s Head of Production. An innovator and early enthusiast in the burgeoning livestreaming business, Will has been passionate about technology and content innovation in the space for years.
